The fourteen laws

  1. Material: soft-glass. One overhead light source; richness from material, light, edge, curve. Never gradients.
  2. Color is a ladder system. Canvas, hairline, text ladders. Roles, never ad-hoc grays.
  3. One accent, matte. No colored outer glow; labels hold AA; named accent devices only.
  4. Mono is for machines. IDs, codes, payloads, microlabels. Humans read body.
  5. Display voice. Tight tracking, heavy weight, short statements, accent full stop.
  6. Sections must breathe. Rhythm at class level, never per-screen inline margins.
  7. Radius posture: soft-large. Controls 10-14, product cards 14, elevated 22, sheets 26-30, chips pill.
  8. Hierarchy from fill, not size. Bar controls sit down 1px; floating controls compress.
  9. Themes are one flip block. Accent is a separate axis; nothing per-screen.
  10. Status is ambient. Word-carrying chips, real counts; tinted text clears 4.5:1.
  11. Hairlines are decoration. Contract boundaries come from the text ladder or a fill.
  12. Nav-tier brightness is mode-specific. Navshell: copy, never approximate.
  13. Laws are dated and live with the tokens. Enforced at the pipeline by the gate suite.
  14. Signature carriage. Named engagements carry the credit line; white-label carries craft only.
